Merc conj VenusKeroseneyeah I love it.To me love is just a word even if you use it exclusively.People who only rely on 3 words to express their "true" feelings are just lazy.Saying I love you is like a habit. You'll say it to your wife or husband, mother and father.I'm so cappyYeah, Americans loooove everything and everyone I don't like overusing this word.------------------I'm sooo happy! I mean, cappy.YoursTrulyAlwaysWhy? What's so wrong with that phrase? If I weren't married, I would say it to everyone. What's so oppressive about it? FaithYeah, it could cultural thing. I'm an American and that's practically all you need to know.My (Capricorn) German friend is in this storybook romance marriage with her gorgeous husband...I think she said they said "I love you" to each other once, fifteen years ago. She said that most of the time, with her family and friends, if you feel strongly towards another person, you wouldn't say "I love you," you would say "Great hair!" or "Wow, the new polish you bought for your car really makes it shine!"I have a tight sextile between Mercury and Venus, and Venus conjunct Neptune, so it's actually awkward for me to NOT put hearts everywhere. When I'm talking to people who don't want to hear "love" and <3<3<3, I either struggle to think of new ways to say things, out of consideration for them, or I just use underhanded tactics to try and pressure them to accept my constant Valentines. Which is pretty much what I did with my German friend, because I love her to bits and HAD to tell her.Now she does send me hearts once in a while~ I think that once she got used to it, it was like second nature. She's a Pisces Venus and had it in her all along, I think. libraschoice77Will admit I can get pretty gushy an affection with people. But when I was dating I was careful not to sling the 'love' word around too much. Especially if I knew the relationship wasnt felt deeply on their end, then there was no purpose putting myself on the spot.CeridwenI suppose it depends on what "love" entails for you, what the underlying connotation is.Just an expression of how great you feel today?Or because someone touched your heart, though only very fleetingly?Or does it include an unspoken promise? A declaration, something that marks a signalpost in your connection/ relationship with someone else, and things might change through thta. And then of course there are two people involved. Do both have the same understanding what "I love you" means?(only thinking aloud, more kind of rhetorical questions)
